What is Catechism?
We are committed to help our children and youth to understand the basic doctrinal truths of God’s word. We believe this is very important in a world where so many errors, deceptions and distortions of truth are present. These truths also help prepare our children to commit to faith in Jesus and to answer questions about their faith as they enter into adulthood.
We are a part of The Christian Reformed Church which affirms three historic confessional statements; we primarily use the Heidelberg Catechism and Belgic Confession for teaching as these were written to be simple, instructional and focused. Catechism classes of 6th grade through 12th grade students meet weekly after the Sunday morning service 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, September through May.
