Prayer Corner:
God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you… This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.’”
Exodus 3:14, 15b

WORSHIP
Sunday services are livestreamed on YouTube at 9:30 am.

THIS WEEK
Sunday is Resurrection Day! Everything has changed because of what happened this day & we gather to celebrate that undeserved but real & amazing gift. We finish our series called “Follow Me” & listen to our Lord through John’s gospel, remembering that the resurrection is the defining moment of hope in human history!

There is no service this Easter evening. We will meet again on April 16.

NEXT WEEK
At Easter we reflect upon Jesus as the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for His sheep. We’ll begin a sermon series reflecting on the well known & beloved Psalm 23 to discover anew the passion our Shepherd has for His sheep.

In the evening, we will continue listening to & discussing a video-based Bible study from the book Vanishing Grace by Philip Yancey. Have you ever wondered why people from our culture view Christ’s followers so negatively? Have you ever pondered how we might change that perception? Come discover how we can make the gospel good news again in a cynical culture.

OUTREACH

A trip to Peru is being planned & we are looking to see who might be interested. We are planning to go sometime during the last two weeks of June 2024. We will be again serving with the team at Genesis Church in Iquitos. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Chris M or Bruce VV. Anyone from the church is welcome to join us! We are planning to do some fundraisers over the summer & fall to help mitigate the cost. We are excited to be going back & hope you are willing to join us!

GIVING OPPORTUNITY

Resonate Global Mission is the world- & home-missions ministry of the CRC. They exist to support Christian Reformed churches in their efforts to further God’s kingdom & build God’s church. For the month of April, Resonate is receiving a generous matching gift donation, dollar for dollar. While Providence does not have Resonate on our current collection schedule, we want to make you aware in case you are prompted to give on your own, especially during this month of the giving match. Head here to learn more about this opportunity to have your gift to Resonate’s general fund doubled!

6TH ANNUAL SAM’S BLOOD DRIVE
The ability to give life-saving blood is truly a life-saving gift. Every day, 100s of units of blood & blood products are used to save lives in our area every day. With your help, your donation of 1 pint of blood will be utilized to help 3 lives. That makes a blood drive truly a Life Saving Station. Please join us on May 8 from 2-8 pm at Providence CRC to help save lives at our life saving station. Follow this link to schedule your appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, though scheduled patients will be seated first. Prior to your appointment, check into Versi-Pass to answer your pre-screening questions; this will help speed up the process.
