Prayer Corner
Following the Stream of Living Water: We Can Drink From These Waters
“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” Psalm 34:8a

The verse in the Prayer Corner above can be part of a healing prayer journey for you. Post it in a prominent place so you can read it & meditate on this gift God has given us in Jesus.

WORSHIP
Sunday services are livestreamed on YouTube at 9:30 am.

This week Pastor Dan Gritter will lead our study of God’s word.

Pastor Bob is on vacation through October 8.

Prayer Opportunity This Sunday: After the morning service, elders & prayer team members will be available to pray with those who desire it. “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:14

Next week we will continue a sermon series called “Jesus at the Table.” We will focus on Luke 9 where Jesus eats with 5,000+ people in the middle of nowhere. Madison, the community engagement & relationship coordinator from Glenwood, will give us an update on Hand2Hand.

Next Sunday evening, October 9, we will have our first Sunday Evening Worship & Vision night at 5 pm.  These services will be focused on empowering & equipping us to live our mission & vision. It will be a unique service & we are excited about the potential to help our church grow up to live our mission & vision. Please come & see what God is doing & will do.   This service will have no impact if people do not attend.

CALLING ALL RETIRED MEN: COVENANT CRC NEEDS YOUR HELP
If you have some free time & access to a pickup truck, Bob S & the furniture ministry at Covenant CRC would love your help pulling a trailer & picking up donated furniture. The trailers are in the parking lot at Covenant, the storage unit they use is also nice & close (it backs up to M6 between Eastern & Kalamazoo). It’d take just a couple hours of your day. Men from First Byron have Thursdays covered, but you could take your pick between the other days. If you’re willing & able to help, please contact Covenant CRC at 616-455-5120.

CHURCH ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CAP)
