“You welcomed him with rich blessings and placed a crown of pure gold on his head.” (Psalm 21:3)
The verse in the Prayer Corner above is part of the healing prayer journey. Post it in a prominent place so you can read it & meditate on this gift God has given us in Jesus.
In the morning we will continue a series of messages called “Living Wisely,” working our way through the book of Ecclesiastes where God gives us an important perspective on what wise living looks like in this broken world. We will consider chapter 3 & the Teacher’s insight into the mystery of God’s sovereign purposes in a broken world. We will also begin to prepare our hearts to celebrate Communion on July 10.
Prayer Opportunity This Sunday: After the morning service, elders & prayer team members will be available to pray with those who desire it. “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:14
In the morning we will celebrate the baptism of Kolby B, the son of former Providence member Melanie B. We will also celebrate the wonder of God’s grace in his gift of the Lord’s Supper. We will continue a series of messages called “Living Wisely,” working through the book of Ecclesiastes. Next week we consider chapter 4 & the Teacher’s wrestling with human suffering.
During the summer months, our Sunday evening activities are on the fourth Sunday of each month. We will host praise gatherings of hymns & songs, with ice cream fellowship afterward. The next evening service will take place on July 24.

CHURCH ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CAP)
ANXIETY ABOUT GROUP RECOVERY | A newly sober person may be required to participate in group therapy, which can make some people nervous. Keep in mind that a recovering community nurtures recovery, while isolation feeds it. Whether you or a loved one is feeling anxious about the journey of recovery, there is hope. Members of Providence have access to free & confidential help. Call the church office to get started (616-698-7930).
