“He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 1:8)
The verse in the Prayer Corner above is part of the healing prayer journey. Post it in a prominent place so you can read it & meditate on this gift God has given us in Jesus.
In the morning we will hear & celebrate the professions of faith of Greg & Tracy K. We will also claim & celebrate God’s promises & blessings in the baptisms of Will & Marley K, as well as Elijah, Alivia, Noah & Josiah B. We will listen to God speak from Acts 2 on the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost & be reminded of what that means for the church.
In the evening we will gather as a church family to watch & discuss the last episode of season two of The Chosen. Episode 8, “Beyond the Mountains,” reminds us that Jesus loves all people but he loves & cares for each of us personally as well.
Prayer Opportunity This Sunday: After the morning service, elders & prayer team members will be available to pray with those who desire it. “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:14
In the morning we will welcome Pastor Brian Bosscher to help lead our worship by bringing God’s word.
During the summer months we will only have planned Sunday evening activities for the fourth Sundays of the month. We will host praise gatherings of hymns & songs & offer ice cream fellowship.
CARE & FELLOWSHIP
On Sunday, we’ll welcome Greg & Tracy K, with their kids William & Marley, into our church family. If you are a member of the church & would like their contact info for your hard copy directories, you may call the office at 616-698-7930.
Ladies’ Fellowship Night! Join us for an evening at Kris T’s pool on Thursday, June 16, from 6-9 pm. Come & swim or simply relax & enjoy each other’s company! Sign up HERE & let us know if you can join us!
The men of Providence meet for breakfast at Russ’ (on Division) on the second Thursday of each month. No notice needed, just come to Russ’ this Thursday, June 9, at 8:30 am! All men – members & friends – are welcome! Any questions, ask Tom M, Dale DV, or Gary B.
FROM THE KITCHEN
Please contact Jan B at 616-334-4851 if you notice kitchen staples or cleaning supplies running low in either kitchen, or start a list & leave it on the counter dated & addressed to Jan. If you need specialty spices, etc, for meal prep for Refuel or events, you will most likely need to purchase these – though checking the kitchens first might be wise. If you have any questions OR if you need to be trained to use the commercial dishwasher in the new kitchen, please contact Jan. Thanks!
Open AA meetings are held at 7 pm in the loft on Mondays & Wednesdays. Enter via door B by the gym & contact Steve Huizinga with any questions (616-299-8809).
