“For in him you have been enriched in every way — in all your speaking and in all your knowledge — because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.” (1 Corinthians 1:5-6)
In the morning we will celebrate the Ascension of our Lord with a special service of praise. We will be reminded from God’s word about the difference our Lord’s ascension makes in our lives.
In the evening we will gather to pray for our church family & the ministry of Providence in the multi-purpose room. Come to pray!
In the morning we will celebrate God’s promises & blessings in the baptism of Ava S. We will also celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost & be reminded of what that means for the church.
As it is Memorial Day weekend, there will be no evening activities.
It’s time to schedule our nursery volunteers for the 2nd half of 2022. If you’d like to help in nursery, here are some things to know:
- You’d be caring for kids ages 0-2.
- Big kids ages 10+ can help too! Adults 18+ need to sign the abuse prevention policy (if not done yet).
- You can still participate in worship! Services are livestreamed to each nursery room.
- It’s a great way to make meaningful connections & get to know other members.
This Sunday, May 22, is the last day for children’s ministries during the service. We will resume in the fall. Thank you SO much to all of you who served in these ministries each week. You are a blessing to our little family members & their parents!
Men’s Study & Prayer Time meets every Wednesday at 7 am in the multipurpose room. We read & discuss a chapter of a book together & then end in prayer. We are done at 8 am. Any man can join us!
This week Thursday, May 26, is Providence’s turn to pray all day in conjunction with the West Michigan Prays 24/7 initiative. If you’d like to claim a spot, please add your name to the list by emailing your name & preferred half-hour window to firstname.lastname@example.org. Even if a time slot has already been filled, choose whichever works best for you!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the generous people of Providence who have supported us & our mission trip goals over the last few years. We are over-the-moon grateful for the fact that 100% OF THE FUNDS FOR PERU ARE RAISED! We praise God for you & look forward to giving a report to what He does & how He uses us on our trip taking place July 18-26. Love, 4:12 Youth
