“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
In the morning we will continue a series of messages on the Lord’s Prayer, focusing on the sixth petition in which Jesus teaches us to pray, “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” We will hear God speak through 1 Corinthians 10.
In the evening we will gather as a church family to watch & discuss the fifth video in the second season of The Chosen series called “Spirit.” In this episode we find the struggles of our past, present & future & how our enemy works to use them all to tempt us to stop following Jesus. Come be inspired by a real-life drama of Jesus’ ministry among people just like us.
On Friday, April 15, we will gather for our Good Friday service at 6:30 pm & will partake of the Lord’s Supper as we remember Jesus’ death on the cross.
In the morning we will celebrate the glorious wonder of Easter! We will consider the glorious end of our Lord‘s prayer, “For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen!”
As we celebrate Easter with loved ones, we will not gather as a church family in the evening.

CARE & FELLOWSHIP
Men from Providence meet for breakfast at Russ’ (on Division) on the second Thursday of each month. No notice needed, just come to Russ’ this Thursday, April 14, at 8:30 am. All men are welcome!
Men, it’s time to locate & dust off your golf clubs as our church golf league will be starting soon! Are you looking for a night to get out & enjoy some fun & fellowship with fellow golfers? We typically golf every other Tuesday night & hope to begin playing on/around May 3. We play in two-man teams so try & find a partner to join up with. However, we can also try & pair you up with another player if needed. Call the office (616-698-7930) for more info!
A reminder from the Deacons & Accountant that the current budget year-end is April 30. All giving & receipts for the current budget year should be turned in by April 24. Any reimbursement requests for expenses incurred during the current budget year should be turned into the appropriate director for approval by April 30.
SAM’S 5TH ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE
The first Monday in May is approaching & that means it’s time for Sam’s 5th Annual Blood Drive! On May 2, from 2-8 pm, we will be working with Versiti Blood Centers to help make our church & community an actual “Life Saving Station.” With rapid sickness affecting so many people, blood supplies are on a day-to-day basis. It takes every able-bodied individual capable of giving blood to step into the gap to be a life changer & life saver. Would you like to know more? Connect with the office (email@example.com or 616-698-7930) for more info, or visit www.versiti.org. Donations are preferred by appointment but walk-ins are welcome. Choose your time & schedule your appointment online. If we fill up all the slots, DON’T PANIC! That just means Versiti will need to schedule more staff to open up more seats! They LOVE IT when this happens. Every pint of blood helps to save three lives & the whole process usually takes less than 45 minutes.
Bulletin announcements are due by noon on Thursdays. You can call them in (616-698-7930), email them to the church office, or write a note & drop it in Keri Penning’s mailbox in the copy machine room.
Open AA meetings are held at 7 pm in the loft on Mondays & Wednesdays. Enter via door B by the gym & contact Steve Huizinga with any questions (616-299-8809).
Legacy Christian’s Annual Auction is happening on Saturday, April 30! It will be held at our West Campus (67 68th Street SW). Doors open & the silent auction will begin at 5 pm. Dinner, catered by Enza’s, will begin at 5:30 pm. The live auction will begin at 7 pm. Come out for a night of fun & support Legacy Christian School!
